LOL, read the specs again:

Estimated fuel economy @ constant state of charge: 50 mpg during charge sustaining operation

You only get "100 MPG" when you drive 80 miles a day and 40 of those are off the battery. And even then, you're not counting the cost of charging your car while it's parked in the garage (i.e. "moving the smokestack," the effects of which you continue to ignore).

600 mile range? Where did you find that?

My God, and you're comparing me to people who think the Internet didn't need to be any faster, or that we don't need more PC power? Guess I can quit my job then.

Why don't you get your facts straight before you accuse me of being overly skeptical?
