CJ, > How many miles do you drive a day? Do you really clock more than 30k miles per year?

I used to drive almost 20K miles per year here in Southern California. It was crazy. Recently that has come down to 15K miles.

I'd still like to know how much it would cost to fully charge up the battery. Is it more efficient to burn the fossil fuel in a power plant and transmit the power to the garage than it is to burn it in an internal combustion engine? Or are we going to make up for the increased demand in electricity with solar and wind, which itself is quite expensive at the moment?
