Oh, the Republicans would love that. If the Dems stop the funding cold turkey, then the Republicans would spin it as leaving our boys in a hostile country without money to defend themselves. In addition, they'd say that the Dems are weak on the military. Those two messages would be perfect fodder for a Republican campaign right around election time. Too bad the Dems see right through the Republican bullshit to fall for that. The game will be up soon enough. When a Dem is in the White House, the Iraq war will be over.
