Nobody said electricity is free. However, electric cars cost on average 2.5 cents per mile compared to 10-12 cents per mile for gasoline cars. So cheaper yes.

The best future world would be where we generate our electricity from nuclear, solar, and wind, have an all new distributed, smart grid, and have all electric cars. Then we'd be a true economic power, not a paper tiger beholden to China for our spending money and the Middle East and Venezuela for our automotive energy.

Do your research before you post. Your ignorance is starting to match i-node and Steve Harris'. And frankly, you've been smarter than that in the past. I'm surprised you are fighting so hard against energy independence. That seems pretty myopic to me.
