"FWIW, it appears the level of the stock market is extremely important to the Bush administration" Sigh, it's a problem. Ergo, "theories" abound on PPT, futures manipulations, gov't intervention, etc. - 'cause you know it can happen. But ultimately, market forces (fear) can overwhelm any such short term actions.
