That's politics. High Crude (or pick your poison) equals inflation.

I listened to a link that has a dialogue from O'Reilly in it. He is interviewing an oil analyst & asking him "Who is the guy that slaps the price on a barrel of crude".

The poor analyst is trying to tell him that it's Open Outcry and it's done on Electronic Exchanges. O'Reilly just runs over him like Bernanke stepping on the dollar.

"Well, I guess you don't know who the guy is...."

The commentator compared it to someone looking for The Oz pulling levers behind a curtain. If I can find the link again I'll post it for you.
