Hey Karen,

What I meant by that response to Tim was that people by now have determined where they are putting the Wright situation in their Obama schema by this point. The ongoing discussion on things like the probability of his having heard any, one, or 360 ugly sermons of Wright in a like vein is pretty meaningless at this point- angels on the head of a pin. People either think the association matters a lot, a little, or not at all. Brumar's article being from the Weekly Standard proved my point in that it is preaching to its limited very conservative audience, who probably wouldn't have voted Obama anyway.

Those who back Obama have rationalized it and moved on. Those who aren't sure have placed it somewhere along their list of traits to be considered. The continued discussion and analysis is taking place now mostly by those who never would have voted for Obama anyway. That's what I meant by preaching to the choir. The law of diminishing returns.
