Z, > The 3 trillion for Iraq is fairly optimistic while the 4 trillion for SS is pessimistic.

SS has been around for decades and will continue to be around for decades. $4 trillion is a ridiculously optimistic prediction, especially when the worker-to-retiree ratio is falling to 2:1.

If you think McCain has a good chance of getting elected, and if you think that he'll keep up in Iraq for the next 100 years, then yeah, $3 trillion is optimistic.
