Hi Mark, David, Bobby

I listened in on the conference call for about 30 minutes. I didn't get any info on how to hear a replay.

Well, you can't say we we're warned last quarter ! NCD did mention that they expect, due to their deal with IBM and other factors, to make between .06 and .11 next quarter giving them .15 - .20 earnings for the year.

They also mentioned that FedEx plans on selecting 2 suppliers for their 75,000 NC project. NCD is on 2 of the bids. They are very hopeful of at least getting 2nd place. The decision is expected in early Dec. They are also working with AmEx, PGE, and some others in some pilot projects.

They also quoted some NC market projections from the Gartner Group. These numbers are so huge that I don't believe them for a minute. They say the NC market should take off next year and by the year 2000 be very large and by 2005 be larger than the PC business ! (you gotta be kidding !)

What they didn't come out and say is that even if the NC trend emerges, it will be 9 months before it influences NCD's bottom line the way we'd like it to.

I know you guys have been in NCD for a while and I just got in recently to bottom fish. I think at this point the stock has become a very easy play: If it ever makes it past 12 on a strong rally in the next 12 months, it's on its way to 30 or more. If it doesn't, it never will.

Regards,
Chris
