I thought that the thread would be interested in this chart of vehicle miles on US highways. Higher prices have clearly been having an impact on consumer demand though it is only showing up in total gas consumption this year. I think the .2% decline in consumption this year will accelerate as more people replace their gas guzzlers with fuel efficient cars and this flat line continues.
