think of all those mom and pop store that could not compete with walmart .krogers,superal and other super and mega stores.

such large retailers benefit from THE ABILITY TO NEGOTIATE BETTER WHOLESALE PRICES FROM THEIR SUPPLIERS.

its basic economics but its hard on small non specialty shops.

it also tends to lead an exodus of shops from city centers to periphery mega malls.
