one little teensey issue where you lean to the left?

Hubert Humphrey's crowning achievement was the National Forest Management Act, NFMA. The Wilderness Act was a good thing.

There hasn't been a left leaning issue since that makes any sense to me.

Universal health care appeals to the emotions, not to the intellect. It relieves people from looking out for their own interests. It's bad for them and bad for the country.

It's precisely because I use my critical thinking skills based on a few solid principles that I reject most of the ideas floating around out there left of center.

The government should manage federal land according to the best interests of the most people over the long run. It should build and maintain infrastructure that enables commerce and individual freedom. It should provide for the national defense. I probably forgot a few things, but there is precious little else.
