In retrospect IDT would have generated more profits if they had scaled back the plan for new facitlities and relied instead on being more of a fabless chip company. In todays semi market they could ink agreements with a number of Taiwan or Korean companies who are eager to have fab partners. With the current products portfolio they would be highly profitable if not for the huge fixed costs.

IDT has only built out about 30% of their facility. That gives them plenty of room to expand which will be needed if they can execute on their plan. In a few years the world may again be in a shortage situation for quality fabs.
