I will disagree with you here. I think the press was looking to interpret everything the Clintons said in the worst light possible in order to create controversy or put them in a bad light. My feeling is that this was a big factor in the outcome. The press, in my mind, was clearly infatuated with the Obama campaign and acted accordingly.

I am sure that if you look closely at some of statements Obama has made, you might just be able to find some taunting disdain there as well.
