Had a brilliant idea today while traveling.... You have all of these electric company utility right of ways, especially the high power transmission lines using them thar big old steel towers. They keep the right of way clear year round. With the electric grid in this country, we can easily have high speed rail between all major cities, with it's electric source not being a problem. We'll double the price of current airline tickets to subsidize it while at the same time helping people understand it's the best thing to do for our country's future.
