|Thx to Bush's stupidity we now have to pay close to $4 gas and it will only get worse.

MM, this really has nothing to do with Bush. Everyone has his own view about whether Bush is "stupid". But it just doesn't relate in any way, shape or form to the price of a barrel of oil.

If you want to blame something, blame China's economic growth which has fueled a substantially increased demand for energy, as well as just about every other commodity.

China's consumption of refined product increased by 16.5% in the last year. That's after consecutive 10% increases in the last couple or three years.

You just cannot pull that much additional product from the world market with substantial increases in prices. In addition, there is an ongoing concern as to what might happen with Iran, absolute belligerence from this lunatic in Venezuela, the Iraq War, and all manner of other world problems.

You cannot legitimately blame it all on Bush, or for that matter, even a substantial portion of it.

And you cannot blame the oil companies for making a profit. They are selling the hell out of refined products; they SHOULD be making healthy profits right now.
