Yes, you you are approaching the chaos event horizon from the chaotic side. The rest of us are approaching it from the organized side. We should meet at the horizon and for a brief moment understand each other perfectly and then pass by quickly fading into unintelligibility. The only way you will know if you are on the organized side is if everything seems to be in perfect synchronization but it makes no sense to you.

Coal to gas goes like this,

C + H2O ? H2 + CO

The process can also be used for this.

CO2 Reuse

There are investigations underway to reduce CO2 emissions by using solar power to convert waste CO2 into CO from where the FT process can then convert it to hydrocarbons.

The process is known for high capital cost and high operating and maintenance costs. However FT is now competitive with current diesel costs. FT produces high quality diesel.

Wood gas, where cellulose and or low rank coal is burnt and the gas desmoked and fed to gaseous-carburetted engine is a variant on Fisher Tropsch which shortcuts the normal liquefaction. Anyone can build such an oufit in the back of their pickup.
