I remember about 15 years ago when I went to a lot of excellent restaurants one year and always ordered the cheapest bottle on the list. The cheapest wine was almost always excellent. Don't know why I got out of the habit. I would do it again except I don't go to that many restaurants anymore.

<The mood and the food and the context really matters> If these aren't perfect, don't even open the bottle.
