GTE to discuss MCI bid with analysts Thurs Reuters Story - October 15, 1997 20:26 %TEL %ENT %US %MRG %HOT %STX GTE MCIC V%REUTER P%RTR NEW YORK, Oct 15 (Reuters) - GTE Corp will host a presentation on Thursday detailing for securities analysts its $28 billion bid for MCI Communications Corp . The event is scheduled for 1200 EDT in New York at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, a GTE spokeman said. After Wednesday's market close, GTE said it proposed to MCI's board a combination of the telecommunications companies where MCI shareholders would get $40 per MCI share.
