Your experience is from 36 years ago. This is the Generation X election. This si a different electorate, even different than 8 years ago when they preferred a cowboy over a potential Nobel Laureate.

This time around, I presume the voters would vote for someone like Barack who would proceed to rebuild the economy, faith and trust within the US and between the US and the world. We do not need someone with war experience and fame from that experience. It is already showing that war experience would be non-productive when McCain says that we will stay in Iraq for as long as it is necessary. War is not a priority.

On January 20, 2009, the hand on the bible and the raised hand will be Black belonging to someone who has the blood of a mixed race. It will usher in a new era where the suspicion between the races will be behind us. And standing next to that person will be someone who has the blood of slaves. This wonderful sight will be a wonderful first step to the restoration of US pride and glory worldwide.
