It actually isn't.

Why is all this world animosity upon us intensifying over the last 6-7 years?

Some countries that were formerly estranged from the Bush administration (France, Germany, Canada) have elected governments in recent years much warmer to the US. That doesn't fit with intensifying animosity towards us.

We've moved closer to India, a formerly cold nation , and one which is significant given its size and growth, toward us in recent years.

Sub-Saharan Africa is a region which has very warm relations toward the US, because of Bush's AIDS and malaria programs there.

Libya chose to reform its position towards us precisely because the dictator there saw what happened to Saddam and allowed our weapons inspectors to enter their country, dismantle their nuclear weapons program equipment and materials and transport them to Oak Ridge TN for destruction,

We've begun a new international coalition promoting proliferation security - which uncovered the Libyan nuclear program just referred to.

Iraq is showing signs of developing the ability to control its own destiny and will likely be an ally of ours in the region, if only because their military will be trained, equipped and aided by ours.

All of these are signs your basic understanding of our position in the world is fundamentally flawed. Apparently you don't know much about world affairs.
