"Biological evolution"

The real difference between biological evolution and (any other) evolution is that they are in different branches of the field Complex Adaptive Systems.

A lot of things evolve. The characteristic that makes biological evolution different from most others is that all the effects are one-way only from parent to child. In most other complex adaptive systems there is some feedback in which the success or failure of a child can not only improve the success rate of the parent, but actually change the parent so that it produces children that are adapted differently.

That is the reason that Darwinian evolution is so easy to study and so easy to prove, because there is no complicated feedback loop.
