Give me a break. Obviously I was being more than a little ironic here:

<I have come up with a new and fool proof indicator for a top in the gold market. Whenever we are topping, hyper excitable super bullish types come around this thread and start to get on jims case. So whenever you see folks insulting jims, telling him he's too pessimistic, that he should wake up and join the ride gold to the moon now crowd, and that he should really just shut up and stop posting, well that is the precise moment to sell. I call this the 'getting on jims case" sell
sign.>

Obviously anybody can be wrong. Hell I'm usually wrong. I just have a problem with those who came by this thread and made a bunch of critical posts about jims when he was correctly cautious at a top-a top that was followed by a very vicious correction. This same exact nonsense had happened here in the past. I mean if you want to be super bullish after a huge run in POG fine, just give the other guy the right to be cautious and respect his (later proved to be correct) opinion.

I claim zero predictive ability and if this is a bottom then fine. I kind of doubt we've seen the bottom but I'm often wrong.

and again from Slider

<I'll explain it three ways:

1. anticipating vs. reacting
2. leading vs. following
3. listening to cheerleaders vs. listening to scouts

In the next day or so, I'll expand on number three,
because it's the single greatest destroyer of profits
among gold bugs known to mankind... more dangerous
than gold dumping, market manipulating central bankers
ever dreamed of being.

Beware the enemy within...

"Cheerleaders vs. Scouts">

Gold bugs due have this tendency to think gold is predestined to soon rise to the moon. In fact they should really be called gold buffaloes because they love to just stampede in a herd off a cliff.

Again everybody has a right to an opinion.

Just admit when your wrong please and let the other guy talk.

Personally I am agnostic on gold at least IT and have stated several times that I claim no prognosticating ability. I wish some other clowns running around these threads could admit the same-especially after they have just been spectacularly and colossally wrong.
