Mark Levin read and commented on articles by Thomas Lifson and Rick Moran about the Obama-Rezko plot that also involves “a British-Iraqi Middle East wheeler-dealer, Nadhmi Auchi, a convicted criminal.” Barack Obama’s coronation might be delayed:
There is more. This story has, as they say, “legs,” even if Senator Obama committed no crime:
Allow me to introduce you to Nadhmi Auchi. He was charged in the 1950s with being an accomplice of Saddam Hussein, when the future tyrant was acquiring his taste for blood. He was investigated in the 1980s for his part in alleged bribes to the fabulously corrupt leaders of post-war Italy. In the 1990s, the Belgium Ambassador to Luxembourg claimed that Auchi’s bank held money Saddam and Colonel Gadaffi had stolen from their luckless peoples. In 2002, officers from the Serious Fraud Squad raided the offices of one of Auchi’s drug companies as part of an investigation of what is alleged to be the biggest swindle ever of the NHS. With allegations, albeit unproven, like these hanging over him, wouldn’t you think that British MPs would have the sense to stay away?

In the course of a 17 year relationship with Rezko, it is impossible to quantify the amount in contributions funnelled to Obama by Rezko using his ill gotten gains. Nor can it be ascertained at this time if the favors done by Obama for Rezko — large and small — involve him in illegal activities. It certainly has him enmeshed with some extremely shady characters in Rezko and Auchi.

Obama is not the Agent of Change. He is a calculating politician who plays the game the same way politicians have been playing it for hundreds of years — receiving money in exchange for favors from government for his friends and cronies.

The last paragraph says it all about Obama NOT being an agent of change. What’s “rich” about this whole farce touting “change” is that it isn’t change at all but the same election false promises the democrats have been dragging out for the past 40-some years since the JFKennedy days. The same old, same old. Except the democrats are capitalizing on his race and using it as a buffer to prevent anyone from questioning or investigating his shady business connections and dealings etc. That’s to be expected. Do as I say, not as I do isn’t that it? Considering a majority of his present followers are college aged also, it’s pathetic that they don’t do their homework and see that what Obama’s subliminal message is, “we democrats have sabotaged and screwed things up for longer than you’ve been alive, so we need a change - a democrat to fix things now (translation: keep sabatoging and screwing things up). Keep the masses poor, ignorant and angry so the democrats keep having “victims” voting for them. And people are still falling for this crap.

Sounds to me like your basic run of the mill quid pro quos. I lived and worked in Cook County and it has always been a corrupt democratic stronghold. Corruption is not indigenous to just democrats but when it brought to a wholesale level no one does it better than them.
The idea is to own politicians and then to buy, sell and trade political favors. As usual this is a rather easy deal to figure out. Auchi is the moneyman for Rezko who gets the deal approved by Obama, who has his house and property purchase subsidized. Rezko gets into the low-income housing market, where his investment is heavily fortified with government money. Auchi gets a heavy return for the cash outlay and other favors as well.
What amazes me is that a little investigation shows how transparent things are. This means that in Cook County stuff like this need not be too well hidden because it is business as usual. When you get into national politics it is bound to come up. That is the only mistake that Obama is really concerned about. He knows what he did and he is not concerned that he did it as much as he is getting caught.
Ultimately the real issue here is how the national democrats and the MSM handle this and you have no further to look than the Clinton corruption model in Arkansas. It was buried and covered up and any investigations were nothing more than the efforts of a vast right wing conspiracy.
Character is based upon the choices you make when there is no possibility that you will ever be caught and the only one that knows about what you did is you. Can you live with yourself? This is fundamental to ethics, morals and values. It should be the basis upon whom we elect and trust to represent and lead us. To me character, and all that it embodies, is fundamental to a conservative philosophy. Without it there is no place that you can or should go. |
