Very interesting to see a possible breakdown of the economy of an American. Groceries is cheap in USA, I can see, but in general it breaks down pretty much similar to Denmark, where I live, except that we pay more in tax and less in insurance, and you can probably buy more for the same money than we can, as long as it's not electronics.

However, I noted a Hillary speech, where she was talking about being able to do shopping without having to think about what you buy. Somehow she hinted that she wanted to take care of that in the way that Americans should be able to continue doing that.

That's plain stupid. If you want to improve something, learn about it, find the numbers, evaluate, learn and decide. This applies to business as well as to your household budget.
