Petrobras 'primed for newbuild rig spree'

Sedco, I absolutely agree. With long backlogs at many yards, PBR has to get in line for the rigs it will need for what I understand will be extremely challenging projects.

My bet is on Keppel. It is still very cheap. It has backlogs into 2012. It got unfairly whacked recently when revenues were light in Q1 simply because it didn't deliver any rigs.

It has the biggest yard in Brazil and has a long relationship with PBR and employs thousands of Brazilians. There has to be a lot of political pressure to keep the rig building jobs in the country. I would be surprised if Keppel FELS Brasil S.A. didn't get a nice piece of the action.

I am always surprised we don't discuss Keppel here.

Big Dog said a long time ago that it was the Big Dog of rig builders.
