Obama is possibly too leftwing, plus he's black and INEXPERIENCED. A triple whammy. Though the most charismatic, he may actually be the weakest national candidate.

I didn't know Obama owes his political career to Jesse Jackson. That is a problem. Jackson is a great man but very scary to middle America. If the GOP starts circulating photos of Obama posing with Jesse in his Afro and Dashiki shirt it's all over.

Obama is very liberal, black and INEXPERIENCED. Plus he can deny it all he likes but he was raised by a Muslim.

Despite his amazing personality, he would have a very hard time winning a single purple state, and could easily lose light blue states which are predominantly white and moderate. That is McCain's strength, places like Ohio, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Iowa, Florida.

Gore or Kerry could win all those states, plus maybe Virginia and COlorado. Obama could lose them all. Therein lies the difference. Dems cannot afford to nominate anyone who cannot take away a big chunk of McCain's moderate white swing-voter support.

Always remember, none of the solid blue states or red states matter. Only the ones inbetween. That is why the leftist alternative candidate is never nominated in the end, though he usually turns on the base beore the voting begins. And it is also why McCain is a formidable candidate
