If you know anything about the new lithium ion powered hybrid cars like the Chevy Volt, you'll see that oil is going to be pretty irrelevant to our country in about 10-years. Our cars will be running primarily on coal and nuclear power (indirectly), and the entire US fleet of passenger vehicles could be turned over to these hybrid cars as early as the year 2018. The balance of power in the energy game is about to shift, and it will be a paradigm shift that will have global recprecussions.
