Increasing numbers of U.S. troops have left the military with damaged bodies and minds, an ever-larger pool of disabled veterans that will cost the nation billions for decades to come — even as the total population of America's vets shrinks.

Bogus analysis.

It is true the numbers are increasing, but the emphasis should be on the fact that soldiers who would have died in previous wars are being saved by the excellent medical attention they're getting. An injured soldier today can be in a facility equivalent to a Level 1 Trauma Center within an hour, usually less.

In the 25-50 year planning horizon, these costs will more than double from inflation alone.

Just the usual left-wing attempt to distort the data.

When you are fighting for your freedom, the money simply isn't an issue. Ever. You spend what you have to spend.
