Comparing iran to taliban is ridiculous. Taliban was may more extreme and womens rights do exist in iran where none did in afganistan. You are mixing up the sunni and shiaa movements. Iran may post the bigger threat to US foreign policy but is certainly a more liberal place than afganistan and more civilized than the world al quaeda would bring us. These distinctions are not unimportant.
