Yes. Strange isn't it? The only way anyone who sold under $32.5 made
a profit is if they bought the morning after the pre-announcement or
before February of 1996. All else is a loss. And why would anyone hold
two years or more and sell to break even?

I can see some speculation on an ASND buyout rumor and pulling the
plug when LU bought Livingston, but why else? These people either have
to be clueless as to prospects, or pure momentum money moving to the
wherever the action is. Thoughts?
