This is the popular concept of junior Canadian mining stocks. It would be surprising if "hedgers", looking for something to short, overlooked them wouldn't it ?

But the moot question for me is not the selling by institutions, but the lack of interest of speculators..... i.e. their lack of interest in the stocks that have the attributes and assets that that Gerbino (?) says one should look for. Why the lack of interest ? Simply because the stocks don't display the price action they seek, (as Moose pasture stocks do). Indeed you yourself ask , "When... ?"

I got my start in Canadian mines many years ago. I remember phoning an analyst to ask why no recommendation for a stock that interested me. His response was, " Yes I suppose one should recommend it, but people like a stock that moves, and that thing just sits there". I thereupon put all my meagre assets in the stock and resigned from trading.... Six months later, Teck announced they were putting it into production !

And what was the attitude of speculators ? They gnashed their teeth admitting that they should have bought, but that it was "too late now !"

Pl pardon the the personal anecdote.
