true enough neighbour :O)
Is the implication here that you wish we weren't? I didn't know the relations between our countries had reached the "unfriendly" stage. If so, someone had better tell your Customs and Immigration. And a good many Canadians. I was in your country recently and found your Customs, Immigration, and the average Canadian welcoming and friendly. If matters are unfriendly, hopefully it can be reversed. I think neither country stands to gain from it.

re: I tend to think of Canada as more of a natural resource exporter only part of the story..

When I thought about it, yeah, quite a few Canadian manufactured products are exported to the US. From our POV, one of the few benefits of the falling US$ is our exports are more competitive and we have probably increased exports to you. OTOH, we are no longer your primary trading partner. You've defected to the Chinese. :-) Care is in order her, I think. In spite of what some Canadians think, this remains a democracy, like Canada. We are in the process of proving it. Such a claim for China is absurd.
