Rummy worked hard at it but was dead wrong as was bremer. Cheney is joke. I wonder if iraq would have turned out differently if they employed powells policy of massive troop committment. I knew it was going wrong when the museums got looted and i saw those unguarded stores of weapons there for the taking in many areas. 500k troops may have prevented it all from falling apart although seeing iraq in action makes me skeptical about that too.

But sooner or later they two sides would have to settle their long standing and deeply rooted differences. It's why W's dad chose to come home in 1991.
