There you go with a totally obtuse view of the situation.

The UN must come to understand that the United States, while trying to allow them a say in the process, continues to be a sovereign that simply cannot be pushed around by other nations.

Until the UN, collectively, gets a grip on its own role, it cannot play a significant one. While we should continue to work through them on some matters, when they aren't able to act in reasonable fashion, we must do so.

Bolton was the best UN ambassador we've had for as long as I can remember. It is shame we lost him. I assume he is the person you're referring to.
