Not true. It was a 7-2 decision. It was the FLSC that violated the FL constitution. The debate in the court was whether to give the FLSC time to fix the mess they made or to overrule them and end the national mess that was the election of 2000. The electoral problem had far less to do with a few hundred FL votes but with the fact that we use an outdated electoral system in the first place. But in any case the USSC ruled correctly and it was not judicial activism.
