Agree with you on that!
Stockman - why don't you just go and look for a punching bag to vent your aggressions about the current stock demise of your dearly beloved intel. You needn't look for people to bash!
Put your money where your mouth is and prove to the thread that the verbal diarrhoe that you spew is what you claim it to be and I assure you that you have nothing, absolutely nothing to brag about - your knowledge is superficial and your claims are petty!
The sub $1k PC, while it may not be a high-tech solution, is attractive to some consumers out there, numbers consistently growing. We can argue about how well-educated thesebuyers are, and how feature-rich such PCs are, sure. That's not the point.
Read the article below and you will see that the sub$1k PC already has captured 36% of all retail sales, or, to take Aug-97 market actuals, about 195,000 units sold in one month (assuming Aug-97 Consumer figures of 541,000 units (source IDC) sold are correct). news.com
If your point is that the low-tech PCs aren't a full-solution, then I don't argue with you. However, if you want to assert the claim that the volume has had no impact upon intel's market share then I can only conclude you don't know what you're talking about.
Why don't you try to make concise arguments backed by facts rather than biased blanket statements. If you really have good info to offer, do so - but if all you want to do is vent your frustrations then go to the gym.
