Over 40% of the float short. There could be quite a short covering rally if Emcore starts moving higher in a sustained manner. Today was encouraging. Usually Emcore will start strong on good news and fade badly during the day. Today it eeked out a slight gain on the day's trade and a substantial gain from the day before. If EMKR starts getting listed along side JASO and CSIQ in stories about solar stocks, watch out. The market will start viewing EMKR as an up and coming solar play and will start buying heavily in this undiscovered and undervalued solar play. EMKR could use some of that upside momo to squeeze out the shorts.
