Man, if only every citizen would share your trust of the government, the politicians would be able to milk the public so nicely and never have to worry about justifying their existence! No it is not about government giving more weight to what people are buying more of. You are sounding very dumb when you say things like that. What it was really about was the government lowering the weighting of items that are no longer as affordable and then using the new formula to show there is little inflation.
