Unless, I am forgetting my history, McCain vote "yea" on the Ginsberg nomination. I believe Senators Smith and Nickles were the only two who opposed the left wing radical ACLU/NOW lawyer.

McCain believes in Senatorial courtesy to Presidents, which includes letting them select judges of their preferred ideological stripe. Ruth Bader Ginsburg was not unqualified.

It does not follow that a President McCain will select liberal judges.
