McCain has made a point of "reaching across the aisle" and continues to do so.

I believe he does it because he thinks it makes him a favorite with the media and paints him with that "maverick" brush he so loves.

Because of that, there is uncertainty as to anything he might do in office. My impression of McCain is that his primary consideration is what works for him.

He's in for a rude awakening when the general election campaigning begins in earnest.

I'm hoping that he can be sufficiently pressured not to appoint liberal judges and that he has a clue about defense and Iraq.

Aside from that, he's only marginally better than his two opponents. I have to hold my nose really really hard to vote for him, though. But the alternatives are just too horrid to ponder...lol.
