>>>Fed is either bankrupted or outlawed or responsible adults take over the reins,<<<

Where are you going to find responsible adults??? Not in Washington.

I have little formal study of psychology (is that an oxymoron), but I have heard of this dysfunctional family concept. The family is altogether unhappy, and they should all leave. But they don't. Some are there to abuse. Some are there to be abused. Somewhere in the lot, there is "an enabler." An enabler (as I understand) fosters, tolerates, encourages or fails to stomp out horses&*t when it happens. You know...like when you were a kid and your brother swiped a chicken leg off your plate and you didn't punch him in the chops immediately. You "enabled" the behavior.

The problem is that everyone gets ingrained in these habits. If you didn't smack your brother, it meant that you liked being abused, and your brother liked to be abusive. Unhealthy for everybody and nobody leaves. Hmmmm. Aha. An insight!!! "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."

So the banks come to Ben and offer him a half eaten drumstick, and Ben says thak you and hands them a breast. An on, and on. After a while they don't even know they are doing it any more.

Somehow I think that Mr. Volker did not come from a dysfunctional family. One increasingly sees his name in the press. Dare we hope????

So in fact, I checked out a long time ago (could see things for what they were/became in the US). But I can't leave. Well. There is Canada. Maybe I can leave.

Speaking of Canada, my June CNQ covering calls are about $20 ITM. Chit. When will this bear market rally end???
