Getting on committees is easy if the party wants you there -- in this case, Obama was deemed to be "up and coming" during the last election, and so waltzing into these committees was nothing short of a gift bestowed by the party.

Hillary served on FIVE committees during her first term.

If you remove "sponsored" legislation from the list (which simply means he signed onto a bill, not that he drafted it), not much is left.

And certainly nothing of significance or importance.

The guy is totally overrated.
