Except IDC, CI etc. report that 66% of sales are to second-time buyers; and that $1,000 PCs aren't increasing penetration much.
We're hitting a 2-3 year wall, if not seeing limit of PC as mass market item. Even MSFT CFO Mafei has been quoted to that effect. That's why MSFT is placing its big mass market bets not on the PC but on digital TV.

Also, AOL's sub growth lately has been weak. Except now they call it "controlled growth". For Q3 they say "seasonally slow period". And so on. Fact is, the growth rate is slowing dramatically. Trees don't grow to the sky.
