I did have many old stock certificates, that I inherited

some were converted into a single newer one where there were many shares

others had evolved like AT&T

my broker asked if he could keep the old ones and I agreed [he collected them]

they were all from greatgrams Katie - a woman way ahead of her time - bought stock almost every quarter it seemed - kept certs in an old locked box [along with ancient bonds]

this was a while ago, but I remember Bank Of America, Kimberly Clark, AT&T, a local utility, others

she dividend re-invested, some grew into huge amounts for that time
