I typically read about half a dozen books at the same time, and with some of them I'll skip back and forth, and if I become interested, I'll read the whole thing. Developed this habit since (ages ago) I first opened (in the middle) the "hundred years of solitude". Found the text fascinating, and worked my way to the beginning, and then all through to the end... So, in a sense, "cover to cover" is a compliment... -g
