LIAR. Dan Rather told the truth. Of course Bush's daddy's friends got him out of the war. Anyone who denies that is an imbecile. But the real story was Bush's covered up 1972 cocaine arrest which is the real reason he didn't show up for Guard duty and was grounded and never flew again. He was arrested and his daddy got a friendly GOP judge to make the charge disappear in exchange for six months of community service in Houston. That's where Bush was in 1972. They also got his drivers license number changed (who else could do that?) to get rid of the DUI's and drug arrest.
