I meant that VA, CO, NM, IA, NC etc. were left to be red in 2004 while Ohio and Florida were the battlegrounds.

Obama could easily switch that around since he only needs 2-3 of the others in lieu of fighting the same old battles in OH and FL. I expect those two to be in play, but I also expect 8-10 others to be up for grabs, instead of the sharp red-blue divide in 2004.
