I've been drinking Terrazas Malbec, about $14, for a very long time. Very satisfying for Malbec lovers.
Last weekend, I noticed for the first time a 2006 Terrazas Cabernet, $10.00, so I gave it a shot.
Terrific!
Don't know about the dill or the sour cherries, but I thought this review captured it well:
wine-concepts.com
"The 2006 Terrazas Cabernet Sauvignon is jet black in color with some purple tones. The nose shows raspberries, cassis, and licorice with hints of dill and white pepper. The wine is highly approachable on the palate with sour cherries flirting with blackcurrant Cabernet fruit and setting up good volume, sweet and friendly tannins and a long luxurious finish."
And at $10, a HUGE bargain. Goes well with grilled meats. A good summer cab, table wine, if that makes sense to anyone. Not complex, no pretense, simply very, very good for the money. |
