Concerning gasoline, democrats "inaction". China doubled their oil consumption from 1999 to 2004 and is expected to double again by 2010. While China is expanding their oil exploration and production efforts, America's democrats continue to do nothing to expand America's sources of oil. I don't know if you understand market forces or not, let me know and I'll elaborate further.

Democrats raising the minimum wage will continue to increase America's unemployment rate, especially on our younger generation, who need these entry level jobs to help pay for their education.

Consumer confidence has plummeted because the democrats are using the same campaign tactics which helped Clinton get elected. "The worse economy in 50 years". With their 90% democrat media repeating on every news cast that the world is coming to an end unless we elect another Jimmy Carter, consumer confidence has no where to go but down.
